Panoramas on Ubuntu

Install Apps

From the Ubuntu Software Center install the following

  • Hugin Panorama Creator: Just search for "panorama" (no quotes)
  • autopano-sift: On the Ubuntu Software Center page for Hugin, click on this addon

Run the program

  • Start the program
  • Follow the prompts
    • Click on Load Images
    • Select all of the images you will use
    • When it asks for HFOV, Focal Length, and Focal Length Mutliplier for HFOV I put in 70 degrees and leave the others blank or with whatever default it there.
    • Once it is done loading the images click on align: if you didn't click on the autopano-sift addon, you have to align them by hand. Sucks.
